All Brisbane families are invited to free community event in at Kurilpa Point Park, South Brisbane, on Sunday 29 April to mark Autism Awareness Month.
The Let’s Get Awesome for Autism family fun day promises hours of fun for children of all ages, with a special program from the team at Ginger Sport, a visit from Ocean Life Education and even an interactive African drumming spectacle.
There will also be jumping castle, face painting, craft and food trucks. The festivities kick off at 9am, and along with loads of fun for kids of all ages, guests will be joined by special guests Federal Assistant Minister for Disability Services Jane Prentice and Seven News sports journalist Pat Welsh.
Former AEIOU parent and author Paulette Moser will also be selling and signing her new book about raising children with autism, Turning Turtle.
