Sad news about our current Townsville centre
Our beloved Townsville centre was destroyed by fire in the early hours of Saturday 23 March, in a suspected arson attack.
The centre itself was humble, and we have been excited about our new build over in Idalia. However, the existing site is more than just a building. It was filled with heart, and a beautiful community nurtured by our centre manager Emma Newham, and our wonderful Townsville team.
There has been an outpouring of support from far and wide in our community, for which we are so grateful.
1 in 70 Australians are diagnosed with autism each year. Autism is a lifelong diagnosis, with many disabling aspects. We don't want to fix autism; we help children overcome the disabling aspects of autism to live their best lives.
For more than 15 years, AEIOU Foundation has provided Australia’s most effective early intervention services for children with autism. These therapy and care services and educational supports make a huge difference in a child’s development and allow them to explore more opportunities for education, community inclusion, independent living and employment.
We believe every child with autism should have the right to early intervention and the opportunity to live their best life! But we need your help. Ongoing community support is vital to help us expand our service capacity, reach more young childen with autism, and to enhance their learning opportunities. Without your support, some children may miss out.
